The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. (Zondervan,2002) [Hardcover]

THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE: WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR? is one of the books that I’ve read over and over again.  I’ve read the book cover to cover numerous times, and also read selective chapters whenever I have a need for a certain topic.

Do you know what your life purpose is?

THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE was written by Rick Warren, a pastor of a mega church in the United States.  This is a wildly popular book, for both Christians and non-Christians alike.  Whether you believe in God or not, I’m sure you want to live a purposeful and meaningful life.

Without purpose, life is dull and meaningless.  So many people live a life without purpose.  They go to work in the morning and they leave work to go home at night.  Every week is the same.

When you wake up in the morning, which do you think, “Lord, good morning,” or “Good Lord, it’s morning!”

THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE: WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR? is divided into 6 parts, each part is a week long, designed to be a daily devotional reading of a chapter a day.  There are a total of 40 chapters in the book.

Why I like THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE: It resonates with my life

I liked the book THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE because the resonates with my own life.  When I was going through school, there was the purpose.  My purpose was to pass the exam, then pass the course, then pass each school year, then graduate.

After I graduated from university, I still have a purpose, which is to become a CPA accountant, which took another three years.

However, after I became a CPA life was no longer so clear cut.  I started to lose my sense of direction and I did not always have a purpose in life.  Time and time again I came back to THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE to bring me back and reconsider the purpose in my life.

The books basic premise is that our lives’ purpose, whether we acknowledge it or not, is to have a relationship with our Creator of the universe.  Once we have our purpose known, then we can start to live purposefully and meaningful lives.

God does not force us to have a relationship with him.  He is a gentleman.  But there will always be an empty void if we don’t enter into a relationship with God.  God created us with basic needs, such as food, shelter, and clothing.

Satisfying our human needs

We also need relationship with our fellow human beings.  We need love.  However, there is a spiritual need that nothing on this earth can satisfy.  Only God can satisfy that spiritual need.

Some of my favorite chapters include Day 31 ” Understanding Your Shape”, Day 35 “God’s Power in Your Weakness”, and Day 40 “Living with Purpose.”

If you are tired of not having a purpose in life, I suggest you read THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE: WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?  Many non-Christians have read this book and as a result became Christians.

Whether you choose to believe in God or not, taking a quick read of this book will not hurt.  But there is the potential to completely change your life.

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you?
