For people who know me they know that I love to read books. I read on average two books a month which over the course of a year is 24 books a year.
Reading is a great way to learn and for most people, after they leave school they no longer have formal education.
Self-study and self learn are two of the best ways to keep improving yourself.
Today I want to do a book review on The Power of Positive Thinking. We are surrounded by negative news every day. Negative people, negative media, and negative atmosphere at work, at home, and in our social circles. This world seems to thrive on negativity.
Sometimes reading the news makes you feel more depressed then before you actually read the news. The more tragic or negative the incident, the more readers on newspapers, and news reports on TV. This causes us to think in very negative ways.
A negative way of thinking permeates throughout our entire lives. It is not a healthy way of living.
1) Believe in yourself
The first chapter talks about believe in yourself. If you do not believe in yourself, you will never become anything great. You will never accomplish anything worth accomplishing. Believing in yourself is such a powerful tool. Once you start to believe in yourself, you will be able to do more than you ever imagined.
2) Having a peaceful mind that generates power
The second chapter talks about having a peaceful mind that generates power. In our society noise is the norm. We are constantly bombarded by marketing messages, traffic jams, people try to get our attention and just simply nonstop commotion. Having a time to just calm and have a peaceful mind can generate a lot of power. You will become more creative. You will be more effective in everything you do.
3) How to have constant energy
The 3rd chapter talks about how to have constant energy. He talks about how God is the source of all energy in the universe. When you're connected to God, it will renew our creative energy. To do this you must first relax physically. And then you acknowledge that God is the source of all energy.
4) Prayer power
The fourth chapter talks about prayer power. Prayer is a form of energy. Simply setting aside a few minutes each day talking with God in silence will make your mind more spiritual.
5) How to create your own happiness
The fifth chapter talks about how to create your own happiness. First of all, you need to block out all the negative emotions that you have. Fees are such as resentment, fear, and jealousy. When you get up in the morning, say aloud three times something very positive. This will set the tone for the rest of your day.
6) Stop fuming and fretting
The sixth chapter talks about stop fuming and fretting. Habits turn into reality. Fuming and fretting simply dissipates your power. Life becomes more difficult. By eliminate think these two negative aspects in your life, you will simply have more energy, power, and creativity to do the things you need to do every day.
